My sister is having issues. She is 68, receives a monthly SSA disability check, knows her SSA #, lives in PA, receives PA monthly food assistance (on a debit card).
She recently had to surrender her driver's license for medical reasons. She did not get a replacement ID. She has lost her SS card. We have coming a birth certificate.
The problems is the catch-22, she can't get a state ID without a SS card, she can't get a replacement SS card without an ID. SSA lists a few items that will suffice in lieu of the state ID, but she has none of them (employment ID, student ID, etc.)
Any ideas as to how this impasse can be broken?
