My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: NJ
A relative and I allegedly have shared Power of Attorney over my mother's medical and financial affairs. I have warned the hospital this relative is not capable himself of making medical decisions for someone else. The hospital staff did make note and I received direct phone calls from my mother's doctors on a procedure they were preparing, but they have not kept me updated within the discussions of my mother's medical care. Now, she is in hospice and my mother made it clear to me she wanted to try available treatments and be resuscitated. She also agreed to life support until I knew when to say stop.
My mother's medical condition is terminal with little options, but options do exist and this relative kept medical information from me until after he signed papers for hospice (he suddenly remembered weeks worth of discussions).
Problem. This is taking place in NJ. I'm across the country with a flight leaving after the weekend to get there. How can his portion of Power of Attorney be revoked?
