Resignation: Resigning for Trailing Spouse, Concerns About Unemployment Benefits

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: NH

Hello. I am being relocated to NY for my work, and my wife's employer is based here in New Hampshire. After telling the company that we were relocating, they said they would work it out - that she may be able to work remotely full-time, or at worst, part-time until her maternity leave (she is due 3 months after our move date).

They then came back and decided that when we move, they will be ending her employment (she will not be able to work remotely from NY).

Now, they have offered to let her work full time two additional months remotely, but ending her employment before her maternity leave would start (by 1 month).

They are asking her to write a letter of resignation, and even indicating specific things that she should write in the letter.

We intend to have her file for Unemployment for Trailing Spouse, which is allowed in NH.

Two questions:
1. Could the letter of resignation in any way hamper our ability to collect unemployment?
2. Would her being employed for two months remotely from NY affect her ability to collect trailing spouse employment?
