I am a recent graduate who is on his STEM extension currently working in the USA. During grad school I was pulled over & charged under DUI suspicion. While the case was pending in court, I had to travel to my home-country for a family emergency . When I tried to come back after a week I found out that my F1 visa was prudentially revoked because of the DUI arrest and if I wanted to come back to finish my masters I need to re-apply for a new F1 visa and go through medical and psych evals. After the long ordeal I was finally able tot come back to US with a new Visa. Since then I have graduated and started working. Recently I have been offered an opportunity that would require me to travel out of US for a week. But I am very scared and concerned that if I leave again I would be in same trouble by not able to come back and loose my job. My dog will be here all alone. The difference this time is that my case is closed. I plead guilty to "Dry and reckless" charges and paid all the fines. But I am still in my 2 year informal probation period. I would really appreciate advice on if it is a good idea to travel and would I get in any trouble which would cost me my life and job here in the US.
