Traffic Lights, Signs and Controls: Illegal U-Turn Before Highway Intersection in Texas

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Texas

I recently received a U-turn violation at a left turn lane just *before* a highway intersection. The problem is, I had mistaken the no U-turn sign indicating for the above intersection, not for the lane that I was on. I have seen multiple times where a no U-turn sign was shown several meters before the intersection, along with the same sign next to the intersection lights. I linked the google earth location at the bottom. The officer told me that I have 15 days to show up in municipal court when telling me to sign an agreement.

I am wondering if my argument over how the first no U-turn sign can be easily mistaken as a sign for the intersection rather than my lane would hold in court? Or should I just give up and plea guilty to not waste time on a case that I can not win. This is my first traffic violation and I have never been in court before, so I'm not sure what to do.
