My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: NJ
I was crossing at a stop sign and didn't see any cars, as I crossed over I saw a car that I hadn't seen before. I saw that the driver saw me, and I swerved, but he sped up and managed to scratch the end of my car. At first he walked over to me without a problem told me he was ok, but when the police got there he said he was seriously injured. Since I had the stop sign it was technically my fault, but is there anything I can do about the fact that he sped up when he saw me instead of honking or slowing down? Also can he claim a serious injury if evidence showed that each of our cars only got a scratch?
