Other Issues: I Want to Bring My Child Back to Florida from California

My question is about my son. I met his father when we attended the same university in Florida, he was here on a student visa from Ecuador. My parents sponsored him for citizenship and we began the paperwork in Florida for him to become a US citizen. After graduation when our son was approximately six months old, we moved to California for a job opportunity for my husband. We have been living in California for about 2 1/2 years when he received his US citizenship. One month later he filed for divorce. California law says I must remain in California in order to share joint custody with my son. We have contacted another lawyer that specializes in relocation and he advised us that I would have a very small chance of taking my son back to Florida and it would take at least a year or two after the divorce is final. My question is since my son was born in Florida and my husband was not yet a citizen, will my son be considered a naturalized citizen of Florida and would Florida law order him to be brought back to the state of Florida with me after the divorce. Thank you for any help you can give me. I truly appreciate this site and all of the good people who take their time to help a stranger. 🙂
