My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Michigan
It's 20 degrees outside and I have no heat. The boiler broke on Nov 3. The Property manager sent a repairman that evening. The boiler couldn't be fixed, because a part needed ordered. I was told on Tuesday the following week that the part would be in Thursday. It didn't come in. Then I was told the boiler would be fixed today, Friday. It still isn't fixed. I've gone 8 days without heat. I told the property manager I wanted a rent reduction for the days without heat. I was told that's not required since it's not their fault the part hasn't come in. Is there anything I can do?
