Hope to get some guidance and anything I should consider as I plan to file a law suit in a small claims court.
I bought a digital camera from a young guy on Facebook (I met him at a local starbucks). I inspected the camera but shutter count (something you're able to check only at home with a computer) showed that camera has made about 196,000 photos (135% of expected life expectancy of shutter), while he verbally and in writing stated that it was 87k. When I checked the next day and made him aware of this via Facebook messenger, he said "wow, it was different for me, but, no I am not going to take it back". Clearly he lied to me.
Do I have a case here?
What does it cost to file? What info would I need to sue him? Anything I should take into consideration.
Cost of camera is $380 that he owes me.
