Breaking a Lease: Landlord Broke My One Year Lease with a 60 Day to Vacate Without a Reason

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California. I signed a one year lease in September. The landlord gave me a 60 day notice last month. He said he does not need a reason to evict me. I pay my rent on time and have not done anything to violate the lease. Can you please give me advice on how to proceed? Thank you kindly
