Good afternoon everyone,
We purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from the dealership last Saturday 04OCT2017. The car needed to be parked in an apartment parking lot that required registration. We had quite the time switching our parking registration from the old car to the new car but finally (so we thought) got it done. We have paperwork and email correspondence confirming the registration. Parking registration, enforcement, and towing are all carried out by one company : Contract Towing, Inc. · Superior Towing, Inc., 3344 W Cermak Rd, Chicago, IL 60623.
Despite our best effort, the car was towed by the parking/towing company this morning. We cleared up the confusion with the parking registration this morning and got all towing fees waived, however they damaged the car. There is an array of deep scratches and marks across both front and back bumpers. We want them to fix the damage. I am demanding the company turn over their video/photo evidence that proves they carried the tow out correctly.
Should we file a claim with insurance? Hire a private attorney? This is my first foray into this kind of stuff. Thank you for the advice.
Regards,
Dirt
