Speeding Tickets: Construction Speed Trap

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Indiana

I am looking for my options. Traveling East Bound through Indiana has been a nightmare this construction season. The construction cones are moved, zones are not really "under construction" and the truck traffic seems at an all time high. I was pulled over late at night, around 11:30 by a State Trooper tucked off road at the beginning of the 3rd set of cones. I was nestled between trucks, as always. The truck in front of me was crawling at about 40MPH. After a few minutes of traveling through the zone, a trooper flipped on his lights and pulled me over. He said he clocked me at 78 in a 45 as I entered the construction zone and I kept my speed until I "caught up to the truck". My cruise was set at 77 from the 70 mile per hour zone before the construction for what that is worth. There were no lighted signs and the zone was a mess - cones not barrels and pushed back to the center of the lane. From my perspective, I did click off my cruise as I entered the zone. It certainly did not feel like a construction zone as there was zero signs of any work past or present at the beginning, middle or end of the zone. He wanted to hear nothing from me so I did not bother to even comment. He wrote the ticket, handed it to me and left.

I am no saint but I am tied to the construction industry and sensitive to construction zones. I always try to respect them but Indiana seems to be throwing random cones up in phantom work areas and sitting off to the side in unmanned zones after hours. That seems like more of a trap than any concern for safety. That being said, I am too old to have much faith in the legal system and I certainly don't need to shoot for officer reform or try to balance of the scales of justice.

I simply would like to limit the financial impact and protect a very good driving record from what sure feels like entrapment. Any suggestions would be welcome regarding Indiana traffic law options or the viability of court relief.
