My question involves criminal records for the state of: NJ
I have sealed criminal records and I am planning to move to NJ to work as a teacher. NJ law says nothing about sealed records, only expunged records. Would my sealed records be covered by the same law as expunged records in NJ? Or how does it work? According to NJ law expunged records do not have to be disclosed during teacher certification application and when attaining a job as a teacher, would the same hold true for someone with sealed records in another state?
