Denial & Appeals: Can You Stop Your Former Employer from Requesting a Reopening / De Novo of a UI Case

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: illinois
I was awarded benefits as no misconduct found however my former employer is appealing to the board of review. Since a consulting company is handling the appeals I suspect they will request a reopening de novo. They never turned up to the ALJ hearing but immediately filed an appeal. I don't want to go through the whole thing again, I'm a single mom with 4 young kids of which one is disabled and I'm desperately trying to find a job. It's just too stressful a process, especially since I won the benefits in the intial determination and they keep appealing and don't show up to the hearing. ( Illinois - misconduct- termination) . What do I do at this point to keep benefits? How can I stop my former employer's agent from requesting a reopening which I think is unfair but is how they play the system? Thank you so much for any advice.
