Defective Products: Minor Burns Caused by a Free Promotional Pedometer Given to Me by Cigna Who is Liable

My question involves an injury that occurred in the state of: Georgia

I was given a free pedometer by my spouses insurance company (Cigna). While I was wearing it it sort of caught fire and burnt thru my pants and I got a small burn on my abdomen, no hospital visit or anything, but it caused a lot of embarrassment for me and my husband who had just started a Government job, and when I notified Cigna about my injury, they called human resources at his job and before you know it gets all around the office and he is known as the guy who's wife pants catch fire for all the stupid reasons people could think of to make jokes about, not to mention the genitalia jokes etc... I was quite humiliating. On top of that, I was asked for photos of my private area where the minor burn occured by Cigna who denied liablity and passed my claim on to the company the got the pedometer from and they passed my caseand the pictures to the company who distributes it and so on until who knows has seen pictures of my privates, all of them denying liability. The last person I spoke with told me the patent owner was the one responsible and he is some guy in Hong Kong, so now what? Who is responsible for my burnt up pants? and can I sue for pain and suffering. I never saw a doctor, but I do have pictures seen by everyone including people at my husbands new job which is so humiliating, as well as a small scar that will never go away.
