Won Case (Sort Of), Can I Sue Plaintiff for Lawyer Fees

My question involves court procedures for the county and state of: Marion County, Oregon

I was recently sued for breach of contract involving an alleged zombie debt. The plaintiff didn't include a contract with the complaint. I probably could have handled it myself, especially with your help, but I was more comfortable getting a lawyer. I paid him $600 and he sent a letter to the plaintiff pointing out that he "forgot" to include the contract. There has been no further activity on the case and the court has sent a letter to the plaintiff saying that it will be closed soon.

My question is, can I get reimbursed for my lawyer fees from the plaintiff? I'm somewhat familiar with the concept of "loser pays" but I'm not sure if it is applicable in this case. Is it? If so, how would I go about doing that? Also, how long would I have to go about doing it? I can do it ASAP if necessary but it would be more convenient to me if I could do it after a few months from now.
