My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: Missouri.
My friend was given a vehicle by a family member, the car was bought in a different state. Her family member was taken to small claims court by the dealership she bought the car from for failure to pay the car note, but after a while the dealership gave up and drop all charges against her (there is paperwork to prove this).
What my friend wants to know is how she can go about registering the car, if she can? How can she obtain the title? Does she call the state in which it was bought in? Are there, or will there be any big fees to pay, because this car was never fully paid off by the previous owner?
Thank you.
