My question involves marriage law for the State of: Michigan. My wife and I weren't currently married when she became pregnant . After I knew she was pregnant with her ex boyfriends child, I quickly figured out HE wasn't going to be the type to take care of his child. So I spent my last 253 dollars and currently I was on the road. I came from Utah all the way to Michigan 6 days after she was born. I took care of her ever since. Fast forward, he gets to put his name on the birth certificate BUT I'VE been taking care of the child he made , which she is a blessing but I'm just wondering. Do I get any say in if his name goes on the certificate? I have been taking care of her. Thank you for reading.
