Police Conduct: In Michigan Can a Police Officer Pull You Over on Private Property if the C

My question involves police conduct in the State of: michigan can a police officer pull you over in a driveway if the car is parked turned off and your out of the vehicle and ticket you for driving on suspended?

Im asking because me and my girl who the car is registered to went to a friends and she went inside i sat in the parked car and a cop went by twice and must have ran her plate and saw she had a warrant so he sat and waited for probably 20 minutes before we left then as soon as we left he started to follow us so i pulled into a driveway killed the engine and we both got out of the car and he pulled in behind us after we were both out and walking away. He took her to jail for her warrant and gave me a ticket for driving on suspended. While i was in the car parked in front of our friends house i was sitting in the passenger seat and when we left he never passed us or saw me driving he only saw me outside on the drivers side of the car after we were parked and the car was off. Is there anything i can do to get the driving on suspended dropped or is it legal for him to sit and wait for me to leave somewhere? Please any help would be greatly appreciated this is my second D.O.S.
