Engine Failure Due to Poor Workmanship

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Washington

I am a Truck Driver/Owner Operator.

In October of 2016 I had my engine rebuilt at a corporate repair shop in Washington State. I chose to have a platinum inframe done (top of the line in both parts and work done) bill was approximately $21k. This cost included a 4 year, unlimited mileage warranty.

In February of this year, 20,000 miles and 4 months after rebuild, the engine overheated, the result of a blown head gasket. Upon further tear down of engine it was discovered that the original shop did not do the appropriate block machine work, and 2 of the cylinder liners had floated, destroying the head gasket. The "factory" warranty was subsequently voided due to overheating (I did drive it to shop, as I did not feel it was necessary for a tow)

I have contacted the facility that did the initial rebuild, and they keep pawning me off to the warranty company, I have explained that the warranty was voided due to the overheating, and it overheated due to their lack of workmanship. Their response is, "these things happen" and will not reimburse me for the cost of the repair.

My questions are:

Should I acquire an attorney? Winnable case/vrs attorney fees?
Can I collect on attorney fees also?
I rented a truck during the 3 weeks mine was down, bill was $2400 can I include it?
The warranty was $4400, can I recover that cost, as their workmanship is what caused the head gasket to fail, and subsequent overheat?

Thanks for any info!
