My question involves criminal law for the state of: Maryland
An individual charged with 1 felony assault and 3 misdemeanor assaults last Summer plead it all down to 1 M charge of reckless endangerment. Sentenced to 3 years with 1.5 yr suspended. So assuming 6 mos credit of time served, that leaves a grand total of 1 yr (for stabbing someone and fracturing their skull. What's wrong with this picture?) Will he serve the whole year? And what if the secondary address (with the Detention Ctr being first) in the court paperwork is a place he has been forbidden to set foot? (It's his ex wife's place and she does not own it. The owner has said this guy is not allowed on the property.) Should I report that to the courts?
