My question involves criminal law for the state of: Michigan and where I am located in (Florida) I am 18.
I met a girl who had told me that she was 17, and going under the name of Kiera but lets say her name was Leslie, but today I got a phone call from her mother telling me that her name was not Kiera and that she was under the age of 17, her mother told me that she was 14. My question is when her mother called her father said that he is going to press charges under statutory rape even though we've never met, and we both did not do anything sexual.
Can he press charges on me for Statutory rape? Please help. Thank you in advance.
