Bail, Bond and Pretrial Release Bail Bondsman Threatening to Take Me to Court

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas

A few months ago I bonded my brother out of jail through a bondsman that I have used in the past. I gave him $800 towards the bail, and had a remaining balance of $500 that my brother was to pay after getting out. A few weeks go by and a warrant is issued for his arrest. He had a few days until court so decided instead of turning himself in, that he would wait until his court date to do so. Of course when he went to court he was arrested, but since then I have been getting calls from the bondsman asking me to come in and make a payment. The bondsman called me and said that he was "audited" and that if I did not want to end up in court that I needed to come in and make a payment. My name is on the bond so I am worried and don't want this to come back on me.

I also found out that once my brother went to court that the bondsman had gone off his bond anyways. Am I responsible for paying the remaining balance or is he just trying to scare me?
