Medical Malpractice: Can You Sue a Doctor or Kaiser for Making You an Addict

My question involves malpractice in the state of: I started to have hip pain about 7 years ago, so I was told I was to young to have hip surgery and it was the advice of the doctor to start me on pain medication. Over the years the pain got worst and my body became use to the medication. well I felt it embarrassing to admit what I thought, I could no longer keep it to myself, every time I would run out of medication. I would get violently sick, I would vomit and have diarrhea. The longest this has gone on was 5 days. By the 5th day I would again get the medication to stop this awful sickness. I am constantly worried of running out of medication. because when I have I could not go to work I could not do anything. The doctor never said that taking this medication would alter your life and your body will forever need this medication to function properly, He never said you will become an addict just like the junkies on the corner. He didn't say you will loose everything you work so hard to accomplish, he didn't say you would loose your wife and kids. because in there eyes you will be a junkie. He didn't say you would loose your house, your savings. he didn't you would loose you. Can I sue. Some of these things have not happen yet. but if I can not get off of these drugs they will happen. I have not had my hips replace and not I am facing a harder fight, to get my soul back.
