My question involves a child custody case from the State of: North and South Carolina
I have opened up a child support case in the beginning of 2012 when my son was a few months old. My son is almost 5 now and we have still not been to court yet. He lives in NC and I now live in SC. They have given him 3 court dates but has not been able to serve him. I just got my 1st court date which is scheduled for next month. I have given them everything I knew to help them. He has another open case on his other 2 kids and they have been able to serve him and he has a support order on him. I have been asking both states why do they give me the run around on not finding him or needing more information when he has another open case in NC and they are able to get a hold of him? What can I do to get at least a court order or something? He has not been in my son's life at all. My son is starting to ask about him and wants to talk to him but I can not get in contact with him. This is turning into a nightmare!! Any advice from anyone would be great!! Thank you
