Auto Insurance: Can You Be Sued Over an Accident While Uninsured if No Claim is Made

My question involves insurance law for the state of: pa

I was in an accident going 25 mph around a turn. I hydroplaned but regained control. The oncoming vehicle was speeding down the road and went to make the turn. I believe he crossed the double bar. He claims I crossed the double yellow line while hydroplaning. I am uninsured and was determined at fault. No one was issued traffic tickets. I did receive a citation for being uninsured. When his insurance called I was interviewed. I was unaware that I was determined at fault in the police report. They said our stories differed so it was word vs word and they wouldn't cover any claim I would make. I told them I wasn't making any claim. They said they were glad no one was hurt and they were closing out the case. I asked if everything was paid for for the other driver and they said he was taken Care of. Should I still worry about being sued by the insurance?
