Hi everyone,
I filed for a trademark a few months ago and because it was descriptive, it was accepted by the USPTO but under the Supplemental Register. Its my understanding that once its USPTO accepts the trademark then its "registered" (as listed on the USPTO website, see note below).
Does this mean I can now use the ® symbol?
My basis for its 'already been registered' is because of the following text I've seen on a few lawyer sites:
"A benefit of the Supplemental Register is that there is no Publication for Opposition phase. If the mark is accepted, then it is immediately registered"
Please note, I already own two other principally registered trademarks, so Im very familiar with the entire registration process. But with this new supplemental register I dont know of any other steps that I need to take as its already been 'accepted' and assuming 'registered' (albeit under the supplemental database).
