Thank you in advance, here is the situation regarding a "friend" of mine:
She came here in 2005 from Mexico, entered illegally, she was pregnant at the time. Her daughter was born here in the US in 2005. In 2008 she plead guilty to a misdemeanor for shoplifting. In 2009, she was arrested again for shoplifting, booked, posted bond, and turned over to Border Patrol, and they took her back to Mexico the next morning (Mexicali). She was then caught 2 times within the next 2 weeks trying to cross the border without inspection, and both times she was fingerprinted by Border Patrol, and sent back to Mexico. She then entered the US illegally a week later, and has been here since. Last month, she had a domestic violence restraining order issued against her, and apparently ICE was able to see this in the CLETS database, and they acquired an arrest warrant, and they arrested her last week at her place of employment where she was working under someone else's name and social security number. She has been in ICE custody now for 5 days. So, my questions are: What is going to happen to her? What are her options? How long can and will ICE keep her before taking action? Will she be able to post a bond? Is there any chance that she will be given a break and let go? Is this a 100% deportation scenario?
