Custody and Visitation Issues: How to Protect Children from an Alcoholic Mother

My children have been telling me that their mother, whom they all live with their grandparents in Dallas, TX, does nothing but drink, pass out, drink so more. They have sent me pictures of all the alcohol and say she uses the money she gets from me, and money they get from gifts to buy alcohol. She drives them around when she has been drinking as well as almost leaving them in bars. I as well as my oldest would like to know if the grandparents can do anything. I would love to take them but I can't, because I am on deferred probation for another 2 years for an assault charge because the VA took me off my meds for PTSD and I had a flashback. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I try to be active as much as I can since they live 5 hours from me. Just the probation is putting things on hold for the time being.
