My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: WA (seatac)
I am mounting my defense for a contested speeding ticket. I received discovery, and already attempted dismissal pursuant to applicable law for lack of timely discovery. (No dice. The prosecution said they mailed it...it was actually mailed the night prior to my previous court date. )
My question is this: is there an actual requirement for the officer to check the radar regularly? There is ZERO mention in his report as to it being checked other than the every 2 year check by an outside authority.
He did NOT specify that he checked it at all.
I'm hoping for someone to help me word a motion regarding that.
My court date is tomorrow at 1:30 (i realize my error with such short notice... EVERYTHING (ok, nearly) has gone wrong the past few weeks, and this second court date kinda jumped outta no where.
I appreciate the assistance.
