Theft and Larceny: What is the Likely Punishment for Theft from an Employer

My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York City, New York

I was recently caught shoplifting from Bloomingdale's and they are my employer as well, I started there about a week ago. Corporate decided to prosecute me even though I returned the items. I was arrested and received a DAT for next month. My question is, do I have any chance of it getting reduced to an ACD or even disorderly conduct since it's my first offense? I am 21 and recently graduated college. I would guess not with the value being so high at $750, it was only 3 items but things there are very expensive.

My second question is would an ACD or disorderly conduct even be possible with a public defense attorney? All the quotes I have received for private criminal defense attorneys are 2000+, which I can't afford at the moment. If I need a PDA, do I plead not guilty and ask if I qualify for one? How exactly does this work?

Lastly, does Bloomingdale's still have any power to drop the case or no since it was already handed over to law enforcement? I was talking to someone in the corporate office and they really disagreed with me being prosecuted and wanted to see if it could be dropped still.

Any help much appreciated.
