My question involves restraining orders in the State of: Texas.
Hi all,
I have a quick question and I do believe it's a simple answer, so here is the situation.
My ex and I had a child together. He is now with another woman who has asked him to get a restraining order on me so that I can no longer contact him in any shape or form (we also live ONE street over from each other- ugh.) I have never put him at risk or caused any harm nor danger, nor have I put her in any danger, imposed on her, etc. Yes, I understand that "he is an awful person if he wants to get a restraining order on you" and blah, blah, blah, but that's not my point. I realize he is a real piece of work, but that's life. I'm just curious as to whether a judge would grant him a restraining order simply because the other woman wants him to get one.
Just as a little reminder, I couldn't care less about him wanting one, but as a professional in the finance/banking industry, I don't need a restraining order on my behalf. Also, unsure if this constitutes for anything, but we were never married and he was out of town when I gave birth and never signed the birth certificate or Acknowledgement of Paternity. However, we did get a paternity test done for legal reasons.
Thanks in advance!!!
