Relocation: Please help me with a custody question!

My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Ohio

I am the mother of my son and his father and I have shared parenting BUT I have residential custody and our papers state my son is to go to school where I reside.

With that being said.. My son has attended the same school since kindergarten and we recently bought a new home just several miles away but in a different school district. His father lives almost 20 miles away and not even close to same school district. His father was totally supportive of the move and on board with putting our son in a different school. I have saved our texts for proof as well. Just a few days ago, my sons father contacted me and said he has changed his mind about wanting our son to change schools and now has threatened to take residential custody from me. He said he will move into the district my son currently goes to and then take me to court and fight to get residential custody so our son can stay in the same district. My sons father has also started trying to persue my son into wanting to stay in current school and highly discouraging going to a new school to him. Which I feel like is a form of emotional abuse! It's making my son terrified to move and making this process much harder then it needs to be.

So my question.. Because I am a nervous wreck of this actually happening.. Can my sons father do this? Can he just go and take residential custody from me just because he wants to? I am an outstanding mother who has done absolutely nothing wrong to my child. I am just simply moving.. Which so many people do! Please help! Thank you!!
