My question involves civil rights in the State of: Connecticut.
I'm a security guard at a mall and I have filled out a survey rating the location I work which I rated it poorly. I have also stated that the company I work for does allow certain things such as batons and tasers but the company that owns the mall restricts them. The mall is in a bad area and I feel as though we security guards should have what our security company allows us to use. Now the mall manger saw my survey that was sent out and is all pissed off. People are saying he wanted me fired. Wouldn't this be a huge first amendment issue if he fired me? I did not say a single threat in the comments I left on a survey sent out by the mall, nor did I mention anyone's name. I believe I am in the right regardless if I should or shouldn't have filled the survey out to my complete 100 percent honesty. Also there is no proof to say, yes that was me who typed it, unless I admit it to them.
