My question involves criminal law for the state of: New York
My son was convicted for Att Criminal Possession of a Control Substance 3rd and served 5 1/2 years in NYS. He was paroled to North Carolina. He has had 3 criminal cases, 2 of which were in North Carolina that were dismissed and one in Georgia which is still pending. He was violated by NY State Parole. He posted bond on the current case and is presently being held in Georgia on a NY State Hold to be returned there. Does NY State extradite someone who is on parole for a non-violent crime?
Thank you for any information.
