Other Professional Malpractice: Debt Collection Agency Posting Credit Details

My question involves malpractice in the state of: QLD/NSW

I live in Queensland Australia, i got a letter from optus telling me that the debt collection agency they went threw (to collect the debt i owed them) posted my credit details on a job search website called freelance.com. The letter i recived from optus explaind that optus has investigated the matter and found out who done it, it also mentiond that it has been though the supreme courts in NSW. Turns out 51 people had downloaded my details, the court orderd for them to destroy the details. The debt collection agency is offering me 12 months credit alert. Ive been reciving about 10 random emails a day from random bussiness and ive had someone try and blackmail me for money with a fake account on facebook. Just wondering if i should or could take legal action agains the collection agency or the employee who posted my details on the website?
