I am an Ohio resident. I work in Michigan, and was involved in a car accident in Michigan that was another driver's fault. My car sustained severe damage. I hired a professional appraisal after repairs were completed and was given a diminished value of $4000-$6000 (bc my car still has issues). I was denied the diminished value claim by the driver's insurance company due to no fault insurance in Michigan. Is this true? Can I make a small claims court in Ohio since I'm a resident and insured driver here?
