My question involves purchase of a school bus in California that I will register in Missouri.
I (person C) purchased a bus that the seller (Person B)gave me a bill of sale for our transaction. However the title is signed on the front where the Owner/Lienholder (person A) signs it but is blank on the back where the buyer fills out information. In other words my seller never completed the title in the back with his information nor did he transfer the title to his name. Its an old bus 1978 it says PERM exempt on it as it was school district owned before it was retired. Its a 5 digit Vin number on title.
Am I going to be okay to transfer the title in missouri? Should I just fill out the back of the title in my name and details? The signature that the title has in the front has no date on it either. Its just signed and blank on the date. I am not sure if previous owner (A) notified dmv when they sold it to my seller (B)?
