My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Washington
Received a speeding ticket last week. Officer said I was going 40 in a 25. I responded that according to my speedometer I was going "about 35ish." He cited me, but on the ticket put 30 as my speed, so 5 over. He mumbled something to the effect of "I forgot to put the actual speed down" as he handed my the ticket. I was in a hurry so I drove off. It was audio and video recorded, and is also marked as SMD.
Based on the officer listing the completely wrong speed, do I have any recourse? Even though I did admit to a different (higher) speed?
Thanks in advance!
