I received a parking ticket for parking in a handicap spot. My problem is, I wasn't aware it was a handicap spot. I'm in Buffalo, NY and was driving around 1am during a snow storm. The storm was so bad that I decided to pull into a parking lot and park. The spot I parked in was apparently a handicap spot but the sign and the asphalt were completely covered in snow so I didn't know it was a handicap spot. After a few hours of waiting for the storm to pass I went and got back in my car and noticed a ticket on my windshield. I was wondering if there is any hope I could get out of this ticket as I feel it's unjustified? What are the laws regarding parking in a spot covered in snow?
