Disability Benefits: Student Earned Income Exclusion (Ssi)

I'm a rep payee for my adult daughter who lives with me. She had her first part-time job for about 5 months last year while she was still attending high school. She graduated this past June and had left the job prior to her graduation. She is 21 and was a student during the entire time she worked at the part-time job, so according to what it states on SSA site, until age 22 when the beneficiary is still in school there is an exclusion of $1,700 and some change per month, with a max of I think $7k per year. She did not earn anywhere near either of those thresholds. I think the most she earned in a month was maybe $700. When I spoke with the SSA before my daughter began her job, I was specifically inquiring as to whether we needed to report my daughter's income since it would be an exclusion under their guidelines. The SSA rep told me that we did NOT need to report it because it is flagged in his file that he is still a student and that would automatically eliminate the need to report unless it was over the exclusion amount, which it was never even close.

I received a letter on Friday telling me that they have scheduled a phone appt. for me on Tuesday. Kind of short notice!! The letter says that according to the "state reporting" there is a computer match that they need to speak with me about to determine if there is a change in benefits and/or eligibility. I'm assuming this has to do with my daughter's time at the part-time job, but I'm wondering if there is anything else that would be linked to "state reporting" other than income? And I'm also now guessing that the rep I spoke with at SSA may have mis-informed me about the reporting issue. So a few questions...

- If I was misinformed by the SSA rep regarding reporting income when there is an student exclusion, how will I be able to prove that because they apparently do not make notations on accounts for these types of calls.
- In the letter it specifically says it's a phone interview and lists the documents I should have present during the call. When they mention bank accounts are they talking about my account, hers, or both?
- It also asks for pay stubs and/or tax return with "business expenses," which is also throwing me off. My daughter does not have a business so I don't know if they are referring to me or her when they are asking for this documentation.
- As for pay stubs it's highly unlikely she still has them so I'm guessing they can retrieve them somehow or give me time to get copies?

Thanks so much for any help you can provide.
