My question involves court procedures for the state of: SD
---------------
Regarding collections/judgment proceeding (dates/timing):
9/18 Motion/Affidavit/Brief/Proposed Order of Default Judgment
10/1 Request for Continuance by Defendant
10/26 Judge Self-Disqualifies
11/26 Order for Reassignment to new judge
11/30 Order for Judgement
12/4 Default Judgement entered (continuance not addressed)
can NEW JUDGE enter judgment before defendant even gets notice of reassignment?? (as notices were in mail 3~ days or more AND court continued using incorrect address for defendant which had been corrected/pointed-out in Req. for Cont.)
isn't defendant allowed 30 days to object to new judge or file motions?
