I was in a motorcycle accident at which I had to be hospitalized. My bike was towed. I called the tow place 45 days after my bike was towed and this is the first time that I have ever had this happen to me. So me not knowing about storage and how it works I called them to see how much it would cost to take the bike out of storage. The woman that answered the phone said that I was not allowed to have my bike back and that I had to pay for storage fees over 2000 dollars. At which I refused to pay for unless I got the bike back. Am I wrong in this position? She had taken the bike to auction. Isn’t her taking poession of my bike collateral?? Now the dmv is trying to take away my license and registration away. What can I do??
