My question involves personal property located in the State of: California
We just moved into an HOA community with a detached house. We went through the correct channels and applied for the fence in our front yard. Had a digital drawing, 3 signatures and were approved. Short after I feel like we are being discriminated against and harrased. They came back and recommended we get a professional landscape designer and remove the white rocks that were not approved. Our fence is only allowed to be 3 feet tall but since we are on a slop there are areas that reach slightly over so that the fence is level. We got a landscape designer and removed the rocks and now they say we have 14 days to take down the fence because it is the the 'public right of way'. After research we realized that anything 7 ft from the sidewalk is 'public right away'. But the catch is that more then half of our HOA community is in violation. We have been singled out. We also have no back yard and 2 kids under 3 and the front yard has a fence for safety.
Does anyone have any advice?
