Enforcing Custody Orders: Can the Father of My Child Actually Get Full Custody Just Because He is in the Army

I am worried about losing my daughter to her father. I just found out that he just signed up to be in the Army and he threatens to take her from me. So long story short, he broke up with me the day I found out I was pregnant with her. He wasn't there for me during the 9 months of my pregnancy. He then shows up out of the blue threatening that he was going to get full custody. I have a job and all of the money on my checks go to her. Yes, i still live with my parents, but that is because I just dont make enough money while at work to afford my own place right now. I dont use any of the money on my checks for myself. I get her everything that she absolutely needs, plus toys. Her father lied several times about him helping me get some things that she needed, but has only helped me out twice since I have had her. And she is going on 11 months. So basically my question is, could he take her from me just because he is in the military? I live in the state of wyoming and I have heard that this state is a woman's state. The last time I spoke to him, he stated that the judge will be on his side because he is in the Army. So could he get full custody because he is in the Army? And if what he says about the judge being on his side is true, how could I possibly prove to the judge that I am a fit mother?
