I have a general question, along with some additional information. I recently become aware that my ex-husband was collecting Social Security income for the minor children who legally reside with me. Upon further investigation and a trip to my local Social Security office it was confirmed that indeed hes been collecting it for several years, they switched the representative to myself once I provided court documentation that shows the children do indeed live with me. Recently in Court my lawyer asked under oath my ex-husband if he receive Social Security benefits or has for the children, he stated that he has never received Social Security income for himself or the children ever. Obviously this is an untrue as I have documentation from the Social Security Administration stating otherwise. However the documentation I had in court is considered hearsay because it was addressed to myself. My question is this, how do I legally prove that he is indeed collecting Social Security benefits, that can be used in court as proof of income.
