My question involves criminal law for the state of: New Mexico
My boyfriend and I recently watched the Family Guy episode that shows Peter being repeatedly struck in the crotch with a bag of nickels, me and my boyfriend were thinking of going out in public and hitting people with a bag of nickels (not on the crotch and only lightly of course) to see if anyone got the reference. Would this be considered assault or another crime? Also what would would happen if we hit a police officer with the bag?
