Speeding Tickets: Speeding 5 MPH Over Temporary Speed Limit

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Washington

Hi, so I've lived in this area where i got a ticket for 18 years and the speed limit has always been 55 mph, on a state highway. Road construction was going on the road (chipseal). I'd driven on the highway once before i got a ticket the second time driving on it. The first time it was pure gravel, there were 35 mph signs out and i went about 15-20 to avoid damage to my little car. Anyways, the next time a few days later the roads condition was not paved yet but pretty smooth and no rocks hit my car while driving on it. I merged onto the highway seeing no 35 mph signs I assumed that the speed limit had been changed back to 55 mph. I saw the trooper way ahead of me on a straight stretch on a clear and dry day. I was the only car on the road and was driving 45 mph just to be safe about any of the loose rocks leftover hitting my car. The trooper pulled me over and said the speed limit was 35 mph and gave me a ticket for going 5 over. I said I saw no 35 mph sign and he said every sign that was posted was 35 mph. I went back and checked after he gave me a ticket and saw that from where i merged on to the highway to where he pulled me over there were no speed limit signs. He warned me that there were going to be extra patrols going over this road construction area and left. Ironically, two days later the speed limit was changed back to 55 mph with the road in the same exact condition, (not yet paved) I looked at 46.61.400 and i was driving at a reasonable and prudent speed under the conditions, let alone there were no speed limit signs from where i merged on the road. I'm planning on contesting this ticket and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've taken video of there being no speed limit signs, (the next morning)
I've also taken pictures of the road when i got pulled over, and when it was changed back to 55 in the same condition.
