My question involves a child custody case from the State of: Texas
Hi I'm 17 y/o and for as long as I can remember my mother has been receiving child support for me. She's never actually spent the money on me. She's been homeless on and off since I was 13 and alot of times I would stay with a friend during those times. Well she's still homeless and for the past 2 consecutive years I have been living with a friend. This is her only income so she won't give me the card it's being sent to. She gets her hair & nails done, new clothes etc with my child support. My dad who is paying it said I will get it about 5 more months after I turn 18 (September 24th). I told my mother this and begged her for the card over the phone and she still won't give it to me. Is there anyway I can become the card holder? Or would I have to wait until I turn 18? Is there anyway I can report what she has been doing? It's ridiculous now..
