Im sorry its kinda long
My question involves an incident that occurred in the state of: NJ
On Friday 18th Aug 2017, my husband and I decided that we needed a little getaway after a failed IVF cycle. We have been through alot and needed to relax after 3 loss. We really like Tropicana stayed a few times so we booked a room for the night. We happen to meet up one of my high school friend after 15 years, and her husband whom was staying at a close by hotel. We decided to have some drinks at a bar at the lower level of the casino. I had about 2 apple martini, then decided to play the slot machines, we kept ordering drinks. Between the 4 of us we spent about $200 and mostly lost. The drinks kept coming. My husband kept playing and got a bonus and won back some money. He handed me the voucher and went to use the bathroom. So I looked for the payout machine. No one was in the line so I believe I inserted the voucher and cashed out. My husband met me and I give him all the money and he gave me a few 20's. We went back and order more drinks and played out the $20 bills. Then went up to the main casino floor played some more. We then heard Caribbean music and decided to go to the club. It's in the middle of the casino. My friend and I was dancing while the boys went to look for the bathroom. Two security guards came and told us we need to talk. So we went outside with them. I was super drunk. And they wanted to search my bag and told me I committed thief. I think My friend called her hubby and they came back. They security were asking me all sort of questions and took me up to a room and handcuffed me to a bench. My husband and my friends were not allowed to come in. I remembered asking to use the bathroom and the guard said no. I couldn't keep it up and I peed up my pants. They had me sitting there and I was crying and telling them about my loss and why are they doing this. She keep telling me thief. I stole $210 from someone, who left the money in the machine. Honestly I didn't even check the money. She kept saying I took the voucher. They search my bag and took my id and threw the bag on a desk. She said the man was pressing charges against me. I didn't have any money in my little purse. All I had with me was a Michael Kors watch and I took it out and said to take this and let me go and I begged to be released. My husband said they kept me in the room for almost 2 hours. I cried and cried. Finally someone came and said my husband paid the money. She released me I was dripping wet walking out...I saw my husband with a few other men at the end of the corridor. I guess they were police officers. I was really embarrassed and had to walk the casino floors to get to my room all drenched. They told me I am not allowed at the casino floors again and security walked us to the room. My husband said they made our friends leave the casino also. Since then i havent slept or ate properly. Tomorrow I'm going to my doctor because I'm so traumatize my body keeps shaking. I keep having replay of that incident. I really need advice on what I should do. I'm really hurting over this and it's taking away my peace of mind. I don't think it's right the way they treated me. like I commited major crime. The next day I tried to make a complain and was tranfered to several different guards and that led to nothing. Please help.
